Have you ever thought about learning how to save someone’s life?

 Would you know what to do if someone suffered a cardiac arrestheart attack or was choking? What does a cardiac arrest look like?

 Do join us for this life-saving talk which will be delivered by a paramedic, lasts two hours and teaches basic life-support skills to enable you to give life-saving support until ambulance staff arrive. The talk includes:


  • Possible causes of cardiac and respiratory arrest
  • What happens to the body during cardiac arrest
  • How to recognise and manage a heart attack
  • How to perform cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
  • Putting someone into the recovery position
  • Treating major bleeding and adult choking
  • Defibrillator familiarisation.

 St Mark’s Church is a 5 minute walk from the town centre and mainline railway station

Buses 281, K2 and K4 stop right outside St Mark’s Church

Limited car parking, including some pay and display, is also available.

 Attendance is free but booking essential
